Sierra Auction is open to the public, and we welcome buyers from around the world. If you’d like to know when or where our auctions are held, please click on any of auction listings or click on our AUCTION CALENDAR for an up-to-date listing of upcoming auction events.

If you are the winning bidder of an item in a vehicle or commercial equipment auction, a $250 non-refundable deposit for each winning bid is REQUIRED and WILL BE proactively charged to your credit card on file as well as applied to your invoice. By registering for our auction, you are providing authorization for Sierra to complete this deposit transaction. If the card is declined, your bidding account will be placed on temporary hold and you will be contacted to arrange payment of this deposit. To ensure a seamless bidding experience, please be sure to have a credit card on file with Sierra Auction that has enough funds available to cover the anticipated deposit(s) for your bids.

Payment is due by 3:00 pm on the date specified in your invoice email instructions. Sierra reserves the right to charge late payment fees and storage fees beyond this deadline.

If payment has not been made according to Sierra’s terms and conditions, your non-refundable deposit of $250, AND any additional amounts (if applicable) that add up to 14% of your high bid will be kept as a renege fee. The additional amount will be charged to the same credit card to complete the entire penalty for breaching the purchase contract. In addition, your bidding status with Sierra Auction is at risk depending on the circumstances of the transaction.

Currently, no deposits are taken for our regularly scheduled surplus auctions. We reserve the right to adjust this policy without prior notification to buyers. Sierra outlines any and all deposit information within each auction listing, so for the deposit rules in each auction, please be sure to read the terms and conditions for each.

If you have been notified that you have won items in any of our auction, view the following for more info:

Please see our Fee Structure for more details.

Per the Terms and Conditions of the Bidder Contract you authorize Sierra (Auctioneer) to retain your deposit in the event you fail to pay in full for the items you purchased. If you do not pay for all the items for which you were the successful bidder by the 5th calendar day following the auction, Auctioneer will charge your credit card for the entire invoice amount. Auctioneer retains all it rights to charge late and storage fees and bidder will be liable for all costs and losses suffered due to Bidder’s breach of contract. Sierra reserves the right to pursue any legal means of remedy due to this breach.

By registering for and participating in the auction, you acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions listed for that auction. If you have any questions please see a Sierra Management representation.

When Sierra safely resumes live auction events, NO CHILDREN under age 16 allowed on the premises for safety reasons.

Vehicle Descriptions

  • BOX A – Actual Mileage.
  • BOX B – Mileage exceeds the mechanical limits of the odometer.
  • BOX C – True Mileage Unknown.

Brand:

None – Vehicle has not been branded by the state of Arizona with any designation detrimental to value or condition of the vehicle. Beware that even though Arizona issues an unbranded title, there still may be other title issues in other states in which the state of Arizona was unaware. Please be sure to research the entire history of vehicle prior to making a buying decision.

Salvage - A Salvage Certificate of Title is issued to a vehicle that was stolen, wrecked, destroyed, water damaged or otherwise damaged to the extent that the owner, leasing company, financial institution or insurance company considers it to be uneconomical to repair.

Restored Salvage - A Restored Salvage Certificate of Title is issued to a vehicle that has been rebuilt or restored to operation.

Reserves or Minimums

Sierra reserves the right to sell vehicles in which the seller has chosen a minimum bid to be met before it can be sold during the live auction event. In most cases, this designation will read “Pending Seller Confirmation” in the description, but there will be situations where this designation is not present. Late changes to descriptions can happen and the auctioneer will do its best to keep buyers updated on last minute changes.

Reserve Not Met, Sold "on a call" or Sold on an "if" - This means that the item has a minimum bid that must be met before the item can be sold. If the item does not meet the reserve amount requirement it may also be offered “on a call” or on an “IF” or which means the auctioneer will contact the seller to find out if they will accept the lower bid. A buyer is not obligated to buy the vehicle in this situation, even if the seller accepts the lower bid.

ALL Vehicles Are Sold AS IS WHERE IS. There are no warranties or guarantees of any kind, implied or otherwise. Sierra holds a Public Consignment Auction Dealer License in the state of Arizona and is exempt from offering any warranties and does not guarantee the vehicles will pass AZ emissions testing.

It is the responsibility of the bidder to understand the manner in which vehicles are being sold. Bidders solely choose what information they rely upon to make buying decisions. Sierra is not responsible for decisions made by a bidder which could have been prevented with proper research, made available by Sierra and other resources.

Surplus Assets

Reserves or Minimums

It’s very rare that surplus assets have a minimum bid, but it can happen. Since all surplus assets are sold in a timed auction setting, the system will let the bidder know when the bid reaches the minimum acceptable bid, as the asset will go from “Reserve Not Met” to “Reserve Met”. At this point the asset will be sold to the highest bidder. In the event the reserve is not met, the high bidder can still negotiated by contacting Sierra to find out if the seller is willing to meet their high bid or some other bid that is mutually acceptable. Sierra will assist in bringing together both parties to settle on a deal.

Condition of Assets

Sierra sells many assets that require it to have functionality to have value. We do not guarantee the working order of any or all assets, so we ask that interested bidders inspect the assets prior to placing bids or risk that the asset may not work as intended. When Sierra knows the condition, especially when it comes to electronics and cell phones, we will state so in the description. ASSUME NOTHING WORKS PERFECTLY OR AT ALL unless you were able to inspect it yourself.

Locked Phones, iPads, PDAs

Sierra does not guarantee that phones, iPads, PDAs, and other lockable devices can be unlocked after being sold at auction. These assets do have value regardless of its intended function, so Sierra explicitly does not warrant them for being locked.
